Result: Working within a very short time frame, our firm leveraged its relationships to facilitate meetings with major donor prospects. Through these efforts, the necessary funds were raised to build a monument near the site of the Pentagon attack. It was opened to the public on September 11, 2008, and was the first of three national 9/11 memorials to be dedicated in this country.

Result: Fundraising was focused exclusively on the cost of construction of the memorial as a part of our strategy of engagement with American corporations and foundations. Recognition played a major part of marketing for the memorial because of the vast audiences impacted in communities across the nation. Building a Fundraising Campaign from the Ground Up
About: New Construction of Museum & Restoration and Preservation America’s Most Visited Battlefield.
Work and Result: Our firm created the comprehensive fundraising campaign plan from inception. We implemented a range of short- and long-term strategies—from relationship cultivation to national event planning, to leadership activation—to help the foundation reach its $125 million capital campaign goal. With these critical funds, the Foundation built a state-of-the-art museum and education complex, acquired additional historical buildings and land, and launched educational programs surrounding the causes and consequences of the Civil War.

Opening New Areas of Major Support to Complete the Campaign
About: A national memorial in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the first ever to honor an African American leader and a non-president on the National Mall. Dedicated in October 2011, the Memorial Foundation currently operates the education and legacy programs in cooperation with the National Park Service.
Work and Result: Our firm was engaged when the campaign hit a ceiling of $60 Million during the economic crisis in the global economy. Through a series of strategic marketing initiatives and offering a rolodex of priority contacts, we were able to generate new sources of funding from major corporations. Our role in raising the profile of the campaign to new audiences, and creating strong recognition and programming opportunities, helped the Memorial Foundation reach its goal of $120 Million.

Recruitment of Board Leadership and Global Sponsors
About: Based in London, England, the IBLF was an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization comprised of global members of multinational companies that worked with business, government and communities focusing on sustainability, growth and leadership issues. The organization created programs such as The Partnering Initiative focused on global development.
Result: Working with corporate leaders at Coca Cola, CCE, Nestle, Shell and other multinational corporations, our team launched a series of marketing and advocacy initiatives to raise awareness and funding for the IBLF’s programs around the world. These included underwriting programs focused on clean water, environment, health and wellness, job creation and combating human trafficking. Scope of work focused on working with chiefs of industry to develop a CEO Strategy of outreach and peer-to-peer networking. LPG expanded IBLF’s internal and external network of business leaders.

Building Relationships with US Decision Makers at Fortune 500 Companies
About: LDA was the regional development agency for the greater London metropolitan area focused on collaborative investment projects in real-estate, infrastructure and industry.
Result: LDA engaged our firm to combat the tremendous reduction in foreign direct investment by US and Canadian companies who faced pressures to reduce operating costs. We built relationships with more than 200 executives who shared investment plans into the UK and Europe. This business intelligence positioned LDA to better address the needs of its investors, reverse North American disinvestment, safeguard jobs, and identify expansion opportunities.

Completing A Major Historic Center of the American Revolution
About: Philadelphia-based museum explores the dynamic story of the American Revolution using its expansive collection of Revolutionary-era weapons, documents, rare artifacts and priceless works of art.
Work and Result: Supported the campaign’s board, executive leadership and campaign staff, to introduce a targeted number of high net-worth individuals identified by LPG. Gifts were secured from individuals, corporations and foundations to fund the construction of a national landmark. The Museum ultimately reached its campaign goal of $175 million, allocated to construction, programming, conservation and curatorial work and endowment.

Helping Launch One of America’s Greatest Centers of Education and Tourism
Result: Through a combination of major donor and event fundraising to individuals, corporations and foundations, we helped launch the campaign with author and historian Stephen Ambrose and the Board of Directors. This included advisory services on strategy, outreach and advocacy for securing financial support, a commemorative coin and recruitment of board and advisors surrounding the campaign.

Leaders in Business, Politics and Sports Joining to Build a Community Center
Result: LPG worked on behalf of a collaboration between the Nats Team, Major League Baseball and the DC Government, to raise funds for the Youth Baseball Academy. LPG’s focus was to recruit major stakeholders in the Washington Metropolitan area whose funding priorities aligned with the Academy’s mission to provide high-quality, after-school and summer programming in the areas of leadership, STEM, and nutrition. Facility was dedicated in Spring 2014.

Positioning an Overseas Initiative to an American Audience and Succeeding
Result: Through the creation of the $10 Million Honor & Educate campaign, we raised the profile of this unique overseas museum with an American audience dedicated to funding programs to help with the professional development and training of teachers in the US. We were engaged to secure funding, recruit new leadership and raise funding from individuals, corporations and foundations.

Developing Relationships and Building Consensus for a Great American
About: The Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial is a United States presidential memorial in Washington, D.C. to honor Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe during World War II and the 34th President of the United States.
Work and Result: After years of planning surrounding the design and theme of the memorial and its programs, LPG continued to work with the Eisenhower Memorial Commission, Congress and the Eisenhower family to raise $125 Million in funding from public private partnerships between the federal government and American people. The Memorial was dedicated on September 17, 2020.

Growing the Foundation and Raising Support for Learning Programs
Result: Our scope of work included high level networking through personal meetings, special events and information briefs. Major gifts were generated for a number of 9/11 exhibits, experiential events and STEM Programs. Support sourced primarily from corporations and individuals directly or indirectly connected to WWI, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and the War on Terror.

Launching A Regional Economic Development Agency
About: A partnership between the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) and West Midlands Development Agency (WMDA) to drive foreign direct investment to the region. Major urban centers include Nottingham and Birmingham. Leading industries include Automotive, Aerospace, MotorSport, Logistics, Bio/Pharma, ICT and Financial and Business Services.
Result: LPG and JWP Strategy developed an international marketing plan for the partnership and generated on average of 15-20 investments annually. When the agency opened five North American offices to expand its presence, our firm managed staff recruitment; assisted with mobilization; and provided lead generation services that generated an impressive flow of one-to-one meetings with North American companies interested in European expansion, and visits to the Midlands region by their executives.

Restoring and Rebuilding a Major City for Inward Investment
About: MDC was one of the first and largest urban development corporations based in the UK and Europe operating primarily as an investment attraction agency. Financial assistance, employment grants, and tax abatement were all tools to attract decision makers at mid- and large-cap companies to consider investing in Liverpool.
Result: Retained as its exclusive marketing and promotion agency, LPG and Strategy launched a series of business marketing initiatives across North America and Europe to facilitate inward investment and business retention in Liverpool. Considered a model for economic development efforts, our approach enabled MDC to achieve major successes valued at nearly $1 billion, creating jobs and building facilities on over 2,500 acres of greenfield and brownfield sites. To combat concerns regarding Liverpool’s unemployment rates and dated infrastructure, our firm worked with MDC to rebuild the city’s image as a location for business opportunity and growth. Our lead generation services resulted in dozens of visits a year to Liverpool by high-level executives across a range of sectors, including Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Hospitality, and Manufacturing.

Result: Our firm helped plan and execute a rebranding campaign that generated significant foreign direct investment for London from North America. This initiative included in-market representation, promotion, and high-level event programs such as the Route to 2012 Olympic campaign. We represented LP and its predecessor, Think London, for 16 years—sourcing and delivering numerous completed investments each year.

NZTE’s mission is to compete with Australia and the Pacific Rim and raise the profile of its people, culture, products and services into international markets.
Result: LPG and Strategy were retained to attract specific industry sectors given New Zealand’s highly specialized market. Expanded areas of focus included finance and banking, information and communication technology (ICT), business process outsourcing (BPO), telecommunications, advanced manufacturing and hospitality and tourism.
Result: LPG helped advance CORFO’s investment goals for both traditional and next generation industries by creating and implementing a sector-specific lead generation strategy. More than 250 companies with plans to expand in the Latin American market were identified and approached, leading to numerous landmark investment projects over a period of three years.

About: LEG is the economic development organization for the region of Thuringia, Germany.Its priorities are on urban and regional development, managing and marketing real-estate, industrial sites, military sites and business parks.
Result: LPG and Strategy served as LEG Thüringen’s sole representation in the United States and Canada, for more than a decade.
