Susanna Lustbader Director of Research
As Director of Research, Susanna Lustbader oversees donor prospect research, economic development projects, and targeted prospect strategies customized to each account. Susanna joined Lynch Pinnacle Group in January 2019 after moving from Brooklyn, New York to the D.C. Metro Area. She brings to her role at LPG a diverse background rooted in evidence-based strategies, organizational psychology, and quantitative analyses.
While at the University of Pennsylvania, she worked at two psychology labs, studying the efficacy of new treatments on traumatized youth as well as the statistics behind clinical judgment and decision-making in the treatment of depressed patients. At Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, she worked as a researcher studying the long-term effects of chronic physical health conditions on mental health and neurodevelopment.
Concurrently, she honed her project management skills by managing an interdisciplinary study which sought to standardize and ameliorate clinical treatment plans for children with Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders. She gained valuable management and coding experience when she also worked cross-functionally within the hospital to overhaul and migrate an online coping resource for children with chronic health conditions.
After moving to New York City, she worked first as a Project Manager and then as a Research Analyst for Mercury Media, where she oversaw the operations for the firm’s biggest account and worked with over 15 different clients to improve their business strategies. She has also worked as a freelance market research analyst for several startups in the New York area, and has considerable research experience studying the epidemiology of mass school shootings.
Susanna received her BA in Psychology with minors in French Studies and Creative Writing from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. She is an avid reader, has a strong interest in women’s health, and loves cheese. Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, she has also lived in Philadelphia, Boston, and Brooklyn, New York.
